Kristen Hoffman

Kristen M. Hoffman, 46, of Spring Township, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at ManorCare Sinking Spring. She was the beloved wife of Matthew D. Hoffman. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Richard A. Bruno and the late Cheryl P. (Shaffer) Bruno. Kristen attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Anthropology. She was employed by Alvernia University as the Accounts Payable Coordinator and earned a degree in Forensic Science in 2006. Kristen absolutely loved her dogs, Utley, Tucker, and Zoey. In addition to her husband and father she is survived by her brother Anthony C. Bruno, of Pittsburgh. Kristen was the absolute best daughter, wife, and friend, she will be sincerely missed.

Kristen battled colon cancer for ten plus years like a warrior - never letting it get in the way of things she wanted to do and always with a smile. "KB" was an amazing person through and through and would not let cancer define her. Those of us lucky enough to be in her presence are better because of it. Unfortunately for us, this world can't hold down the angels.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 10:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, 19607 on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or PA Boxer Rescue (www.paboxers.com) in memory of Kristen M. Hoffman.
