Kenneth Parker

Kenneth G. Parker, 77, of Shillington, passed away on March 2, 2016 at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late George D. and Evelyn M. (Englehart) Parker.
Kenneth was a US Army Veteran serving during peacetime. He was employed as an architectural draftsman for Gilbert and Associates, Shenk and Seibert, and Michael Kostival, helping to draft plans for many of the newer public school buildings in Berks County. Ken was well known for love of sports and building miniature 3D models.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara G. (Gillan) Parker, children: Brent K. Parker, Wendy E. Parker, and Alan K. Parker. Grandchildren: Justin W. Kern, Barbara D. Kern, Cassandra E. Kern, and Alexandra N. Parker. 5 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Roger D. Parker and Douglass A. Parker, husband of Denise L.
A service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10-11:00AM. The interment will follow the service at Laureldale Cemetery.
