Kathryn Walters

Kathryn L. Walters, 89, of South Heidelberg Township, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 8:40 am in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. She was the wife of Douglas A. Walters. Born in Laureldale, Mrs. Walters was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Gertrude (Gaulker) Carl. She was a 1945 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and was an assistant manager at Spencer Gifts in the Berkshire Mall from 1970-1976. She loved family gatherings and playing cards with friends. In addition to her husband Mrs. Walters is survived by her daughter Penny L. Adams, wife of Larry K. Adams of Shoemakersville; her step daughter Julle M. Peltier, wife of Lealand Peltier of Reading and her step son Mark D. Walters, husband of Laura L. Walters of Reinholds. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tammy L. Wertz; Tiffany Burns; Chad Stewart; Justin Walters; Jason Walters and Neil Eddy along with her great grandchildren Katelyn Wertz; Arianna Wertz; Alexis Wertz; Baily Burns; Ella Walters; Arrilyn Walters; Paige Stewart; Keegan Stewart; Elisa Eddy and Megan Eddy. Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her great grandson Darius Wertz and her brother Melvin Carl and her sister Fern Carl.
Interment will be held in Laureldale Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League PO Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540 or American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave. Reading, PA 19605 in memory of Mrs. Kathryn L. Walters.
