Cindy Falter and Dennis Alsdorf announce with deepest regret and profound sadness, the death of their beloved mother, Kathleen M. Alsdorf on August 15, 2016.
Born on St. Patrick's Day in 1921, is when her Irish Eyes started smiling. She was the first born to Mary and Wellington Boyer. Her family was extremely poor, often going without food or central heating. Living through the great depression helped develop her character.
Known to many of her students as "Miss Kathleen," she taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She married her wonderful husband Bill in 1942, during World War II.
Her unconditional love for her family, her unlimited generosity, and her great caring for all other was her Hallmark. She loved well and was greatly loved in return; making her the richest person we ever met.
She was predeceased by her husband: William H. Alsdorf, grandson: Drew W. Alsdorf, and Siblings: Virginia Buzeleski, Gerald, William, and Richard Boyer.
She is survived by her children: Dennis W. Alsdorf, husband of Darlene of Wyomissing and Cynthia L. Falter, wife of John S. of Kenhorst; grandchildren: Beth A. Wawrzonek, wife of Michael, Steven W. Rodolff, husband of Emily, and Megan L. Butcher; great-grandchildren: Joshua Wawrzonek, Alivia Rodolff, and Damon Rodolff.
Funeral services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00PM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12-1:00PM. The interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
