Karolina T. Gauby

Karolina T. Gauby, 96, of Cumru Township, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 12:31 pm in her residence. She was the wife of the late Russel C. Gauby who passed away in 1989 and is survived by her partner Michael R. Nelson with whom she last resided. Born in Neuӧtting, Germany, Mrs. Gauby was the daughter of the late Bruno and Karolina (Lautenbacher) Wagner. She was a very successful business owner of the former Alpenhof Restaurant & Gift Shop. Mrs. Gauby is also survived by her sisters Ingrid Slusser of West Lawn; Eva Saller of Neuӧtting, Germany; and was preceded in death by her brother Wolfram Wagner. Also surviving are her nieces Ursula Garrison of West Lawn, Christine Campbell of Mohnton, Eva Garrett of Phoenix, Arizona, Stephanie Saller and Dorothee Saller-Hessberger both of Neuӧtting, Germany, her nephews Tobias Wagner of Neuӧtting, Germany, Christopher Saller of Zurich, Switzerland, and Martin Samaras of Munich, Germany and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
