Karl Lewis Jr

Karl W. Lewis Jr., 76, of Spring Twp., passed away September 1, 2009 at 7:23 AM in his residence. He was the husband of Miriam M. (Feick) Lewis for 56 years. Born in Penn Twp. on October 2, 1932, he was the son of the late Cassia A. (Potteiger) Lewis and the late Karl W. Lewis Sr.

Mr. Lewis was a 1950 graduate of Penn-Bernville High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Lewis was employed as a conductor/ brakeman by Reading Railroad and later ConRail for 37 years, retiring in 1992. Karl was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters Becky S. (Lewis) wife of Keith F. Rightmyer of Spring Twp. and Katrina E. Lewis of Washington, DC, 2 grandchildren Harrison L. Rightmyer and Alyssa B. wife of David Henderson and a brother Russell D. Lewis of High Point, NC.
