Karen L. Kavusak

Karen L. (Iwashyna) Kavusak, 56, of Mohnton passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in the Reading Hospital. Born in Irvington, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Annelies (Reif) and Serge Iwashyna. She was the wife of John A. Kavusak, together they shared 10 years of marriage. She was a server at Deluxe Diner for many years. Karen loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She spoiled her pets and gave them the best care. Karen had a green thumb and enjoyed doing all the landscaping at her home.

 Karen is survived by her husband, John A. Kavusak, her children, Brittany Tedesco, Brianna Tedesco, and Brian Tedesco, her grandchildren, Gianna M. Merlo, Thomas J. Merlo, and Vincenzo M. Tedesco, her sister, Anna Mizerak, and her pets, Maggie, Sasha, Sophie, Putter, Sam, and Popeye.

 A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Avenue, Shillington at 11:00am. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, January 3, 2025, in Bean Funeral Home, Shillington from 9:00am to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Karen L. Kavusak to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
