Karen Dutcher

August 23, 1954 — March 4, 2018

Karen L. Dutcher, 63, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 6:05 pm in her home. She was the wife of Robin P. Dutcher. Born in Allentown, Mrs. Dutcher was the daughter of the late Alvin and Yetta (Bakus) Edick. She received her associate degree as a paralegal from Penn State University and was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Dutcher was employed by the County of Berks for 30 years last working as manager of Register of Wills. She was very active and enjoyed spending time with her grandson, vacationing and playing golf. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dutcher is survived by her son Christian F. Heckman, husband of Grace M. Heckman of Sinking Spring and her step children Anthony P. Dutcher of New York City; Talia C. Dutcher of New York City and Jonathan R. Dutcher of West Chester and her grandson Reed F. Heckman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township, Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 am. Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 pm and at Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Friday 9:00-9:45 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma c/o American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017 in memory of Mrs. Karen L. Dutcher.
