June Peterson

August 14, 1932 — July 3, 2015

June A. Peterson, 82, of New Holland, formerly of Reading, passed away July 3, 2015 in Fairmont Homes, Wheat Ridge Health Center, Ephrata where she was a guest for a short time.
She was the loving wife of James F. Peterson; they were married for 63 years.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Mildred (Overdorf) Graves.
She was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School and a member of High Point Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday school. She was employed in the produce department at Farmer Brown's/Martin's Country Market.
June was a wonderful cook; most importantly she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband James, are children Judith A. Souden, Morgantown; Jay A. Peterson, Clinton, PA; Joy A. Miller, Pottstown; James A. Peterson, Japan; Joel A. Peterson, Atlanta, GA; Jill A. Peterson, New Holland; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a brother Paul Graves, Jr., Port Charlotte, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in June's memory to High Point Mission: 200 Chapel Road, P.O. Box 188, Geigertown, PA 19523.
Memorial service will be held in High Point Baptist Church, 200 Chapel Road, Geigertown, Friday, July 10, 2015 at 6:00pm, Rev. Paul E. Caughill officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00-6:00pm.
