Julia Heifer

Julia D. Heifer, 88, of Cumru Twp., passed away May 23, 2010 at 6:00 PM in St. Joseph Medical Center where she was a patient since May 19th. She was the wife of Francis J. Heifer who passed away January 7, 1983. Born in Reading on March 7, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Valerie (Sakiewicz) Gurtowski.

Mrs. Heifer was a member of St. Catherine of Siena RCC, Exeter Twp. She was employed as a seamstress by Penn Dale Knitting Mill retiring in 1970.

Surviving are a daughter Patricia A. (Heifer) widow of Barry L. Burrell of Exeter Twp., 2 sons Dr. Frank D. Heifer husband of Nancy S. (Strohl) Heifer of Birdsboro and David M. Heifer of Mt. Penn, 6 Grandchildren Matthew D. Heifer, Andrew S. Heifer, Michelle L. Greisser, Michael L. Burrell, Daniel M. Heifer and Gregory H. Heifer, 2 step grandchildren Kathy LaDuca and Karen Greager, 5 great grandchildren Kristina Byler-Heifer, Brian Boltz, Nathan Brady, Kasey Taylor and Nikki Taylor, 4 nephews Ronald Straka, Edward Straka, Louis Gurtowski and Gerald Gurtowski, 1 niece Susan Fryberger and 1 cousin Caroline Michalowski.
