Joyce A. Young

Joyce A. (Dautrich) Young, 92, of Reading, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at her home at Manor at Market Square. She was the loving wife to William L. Young for over 60 years of marriage, before his passing on May 17, 2012. Born in Abington, PA, Joyce was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Carrie H. (Kunkleman) Dautrich.

 She was employed by Utilities Employees Credit Union, CoreStates Bank (Corporate Services) and Meridian Asset Management, Inc. until retiring in 1996. She loved traveling with her husband to Orlando, FL, Walt Disney World and Ocean City MD.

She was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Penn High School, Mt. Penn, PA. She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Reading, PA, and a friend of Kissinger’s Church, Wyomissing, PA.

 Joyce is survived by her daughter, Karen Kreeger, wife of Danielle, and her grandson, Austin W. Kreeger, all of Media, PA. In addition to her parents and husband William, Joyce is predeceased by her twin sister, Joan E. Colsher. Other survivors are niece and nephews, Celia and J. Keith Colsher, Sinking Spring, PA, and their sons, Collin Colsher and Aaron Colsher, both of Philadelphia. PA.

 Funeral service for Joyce will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Reading. Interment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Reading on Friday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
