Joyce Prince

Joyce M. Prince, 75, lovingly known to most as Mickey or Gam, passed away on Saturday May 14th, 2011 at the St. Joseph Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was married to the love of her life, Henry L. Prince, on May 14th, 1955 who preceded her in death on May 14thth, 1968.

Born in New York City, she was the sixth and last surviving daughter of the late William E. and Bertha F. (Tepper) Trimblett.

Given the nickname of Mickey (after the great Yankee Mickey Mantle), by her father at birth, it was inevitable that she would be a lifelong New York Yankee fan. Those who knew and loved Mickey will miss her sharp wit and remarkable sense of humor. She last worked for Manor Care in Laureldale, retiring in 1997.

Mickey is survived by two sons, Jeffrey W. Prince, husband of Diane E. (Kaylor) Prince of Shartlesville, Richard H. Prince, fiancAC. of Jaime A. Heller of Hellertown, and daughter Donna P. (Prince) Schaedler widow of Barry L. Schaedler of Muhlenberg Twp., six grandchildren Kelli P. (Prince) Miller, Jason H. Schaedler, Brianne T. (Schaedler) Gruber, Jeffrey W. Prince II, Michael Cleary and Tierney Glass, as well as six great grandchildren, and one on the way. She is also survived by Thomas W. Baslick, with whom she resided, as well as and several nieces and nephews.

Mickey was a generous supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for many years, and in honor of her devotion to the charity, her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 2
