Josephine A. Wagner, 95, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away February 2, 2016 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late John B. Wagner, Sr. who passed away November 17, 1992. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary(Doglia) Corvaia. She was employed by Witner's Department Store in Reading as a Sales Lady in Women's Dresses as well as a seamstress working from home. Mrs. Wagner also worked in the shipping department at Baldwin Hardware and then in her retirement was the owner of Jo's Antiques at Renninger's Market, for 20 years, specializing in dolls and quilts and enjoyed making new friends. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her children Charles S. Wagner, husband of Jane A. Wagner of Birmingham, Alabama; John B. Wager, Jr. of Bedford, Virginia; Joanne Riehl, wife of the late William Riehl of Melbourne, Florida; Cynthia Rice of New Alexandria, Pennsylvania and Delores Denton of Phoenix, Arizona along with her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Stephen Corvaia, husband of Michelle Corvaia of Naples, Florida and Dominic Corvaia, husband of Ruth Corvaia of Philadelphia and was preceded in death by 7 siblings. Mrs. Wagner was a wonderful homemaker enjoying cooking and baking for family as well as traveling. Her children would like to thank the many hard working and dedicated employees at Berks Heim for the care they extended to their mother for the past 2 years.
Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:00 am. Reverend Kerry L. Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in Charles Evans Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 9-10:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109 or the Charity of ones choice in memory of Mrs. Josephine A. Wagner.
