Josephine Smith

Josephine K. Smith, 88, formerly of Sacred Heart Villa and Cedar Top, passed away peacefully January 28, 2011 at 12:10 pm in Columbia Cottage. She was the loving wife of the late Carl W. Smith who passed away December 26, 2010 and to whom she was married to for 67 years. Born in Sheridan, PA she was the daughter of the late David and Anna (Zidik) Anderson. She was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School and McCann School of Business. Mrs. Smith was a stenographer for Family Guidance Center in Reading and a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church in Shillington. She as a loving and dedicated mother to Andrew C. husband of Charlotte A. Smith of Bernville, Patricia A. (Smith) wife of Donald E. Wealand of Sinking Spring and Andrea J. Smith of New Castle, Delaware. She was a loving and dedicated grandmother to Jonathan A. and Andrew T. Smith and Eric A. and Mallory L. Wealand. She is also survived by her sister Mary Rusnak of Shillington and was preceded in death by her siblings Ann Weber, John and Andrew Anderson.
