Josephine Hilton

Josephine A. Hilton, 91, of Wyomissing, formerly of Wyomissing Hills, passed away November 16, 2010 at 7:03 am in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. She was the wife of Lyle F. "Deac" Hilton. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Katie L. (Kline) Kreider. Mrs. Hilton taught school in Tannersville School District for 3 years, retiring in 1944. She was a member of Calvary UCC in Reading where she was a member of the choir. She was also a member of DAR and has served on the board, was elected to the SE Conference of United Church of Christ where she served for 17 years and was honored with the Diaconis Award in 1998. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons David L. Hilton of San Francisco, CA and John L. Hilton of Reading.
