Joseph Waligorski

October 22, 1930 — April 2, 2010

Joseph L. "Beansy" Waligorski, 79, of Temple, husband of Rose A. (Sfameni), whom he married 56 years ago on February 27th, entered into peace on Friday, April 2, 2010, surrounded by his beloved family following a courageous battle with cancer.


Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Domagalski) Waligorski.


He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School, and was a proud US Army Korean War Veteran, serving as a medic.


He was employed for 24 years as a Mix Master for Armour Meats and later employed for 14 years as a Mix Master for Berks Packing, retiring in 1986. He was also employed by BCIU as a Transportation Aide for Special Needs children in the late 90's.


He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Parish, Laureldale.


Joe loved going to the shore, being outdoors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He especially loved Sunday dinners with his family.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Cynthia L., wife of Stephen Gardecki of Exeter Twp; a son: Raymond A., husband of Carla, of Maidencreek Twp.


There are also three adoring grandchildren: Ryan J. Gardecki, husband of Tara of Exeter Twp., Christopher R. Gardecki of Exeter Twp. and Taylor R. Waligorski of Maidencreek Twp.


He is also survived by a sister: Barbara Ann, wife of Donald Madeira of Shillington.


In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister: Florence Waligorski
