Joseph V. Razzano, 84, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:29 pm in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy R. (Unger-Armao) Razzano. Mr. Razzano was born in Reading the son of the late Lawrence and Rose (DiPardo) Razzano. He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church and was employed as a truck driver for Pottsville Storage & Transfer for 23 years and Super Value for 10 years. Mr. Razzano was a member of Teamsters Union Local #429 for 33 years; Assistant Boy Scout Leader for Troop #124 Laureldale; served as one of the volunteers to build Hawk Mountain Boy Scout Camp; played semi professional roller hockey in Sinking Spring; was a member of the Northwest Junior High School Championship Football Team; served as a bartender at La Rose CafAC. at 10th & Green Streets in Reading; loved cars and took pride in detailing them; loved to watch sports; was a avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and was a life lodge member at Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Society. In addition to his wife, Mr. Razzano is survived by his children Linette A. Razzano of Pennside; Joseph L. Razzano of Muhlenberg Township and Michael P. Razzano, husband of Beth J. Razzano of West Lawn and was preceded in death by his son Lawrence E. Razzano, May 1, 1997. Also surviving are his grandchildren Daniel L. Razzano, husband of Kelly Razzano of Florida; Amber Razzano of Kenhorst; Andrew Razzano of Kenhorst; Lindsey N. Razzano of Bernville and James P. Razzano of West Lawn as well as his 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Marian S. Gabrielli, wife of Gabriel Gabrielli of Blandon.
Funeral Procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church 237 Franklin Street, Reading at 10:00 am. Reverend Monsignor Joseph A. DeSantis, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm and Wednesday 8:45-9:15 am.
