Joseph Mackiewicz

Joseph M. Mackiewicz, 77, of Reading, passed away July 25, 2010 at 10:49 pm in The Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center a resident for 1 month. He was the husband of Stella J. (Wawrzonek) Mackiewicz. Born in Linfield, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Smigelski) Mackiewicz. He was employed by Allegheny Airlines in Reading as a mechanic. Mr. Mackiewicz was a member of St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church and a member of its YMS of R Society. He served during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Barbara A. wife of Michael A. Martin of Stony Creek and his son Joseph J. Mackiewicz of Reading along with his granddaughter Melissa J. Bowdy and step grandchildren Adrian M. and Cody A. Martin along with sisters, Christine Krill of Linfield and Jenny Rega of Royersford.
