John Schlott

John H. "Jack" and Jane M.(Petree)Schlott, of Spring Township, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 in their residence at 9:30 am. Mr. Schlott was born in Reading the son of the late John and Gertrude V.(Aulenbaugh)Schlott. He was a graduate of Reading High School and attended Albright College. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a purchasing agent for Gilbert Associates for many years retiring in 1989. Mr. Schlott was a member of Calvary UCC in Reading and was an avid wood craftsman and enjoyed yard work. Mrs. Schlott was born in Reading a daughter of the late Charles F. and Freda(Jacob)Petree. She was a graduate of Reading High School and was employed as a secretary for CarTech for several years. Also a member of Calvary UCC in Reading, Mrs. Schlott enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and pinochle. They are survived by their daughters Susan J. wife of Allen D. Henn of Leesport and Marcia Ann wife of Michael J. Norton of Leesport along with grandchildren Jenna L. wife of Tobias L. Knechtle, Nicholas A. Henn and Morgann E. Henn.
