John A. Kozak

John A. Kozak, 96, of Spring Township, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at 7:00 pm in his residence.  He was the husband of the late Lottie “Laura” R. (Sabanos) Kozak who passed away May 5, 2019.  Born in Reading, Mr. Kozak was the son of the late Karl and Catherine (Majdig) Kozak.   He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading and served in the United States Merchant Marines.   Mr. Kozak was employed by Reading Tube for 40 years last working as a foreman until his retirement.  He is survived by his children Deborah A. Marasco wife of William L. Marasco of Northampton; John K. Kozak husband of Renee D. Kozak of Spring Township and his 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.   Mr. Kozak was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

Funeral procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, March 11, 2024 at 9:15 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church 740 Cherry Street, West Reading at 10:00 am.   Reverend Samuel Yeboah, Celebrant.   Entombment will follow at The Chapel of Saint George at Gethsemane Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
