John Kissinger

John Thomas Kissinger, 95, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away Thursday January 14, 2021 at Berks Heim.  He was the husband of the late Charlotte M. (Mohler) Kissinger who passed away in 1997.  Born in Reading, Mr. Kissinger was the son of the late Lester G. and Lillian A. (Feyl) Kissinger.  He was a graduate of Wilson High School and received his Bachelor degree in Education from Albright College and his Master’s degree in Education from Temple University.    He was a member of Baussman Memorial United Church of Christ and was a Teacher and Reading Specialist in the Muhlenberg School district for 27 years retiring in 1983.   Mr. Kissinger is survived by his nieces Anne L. Dietrich, wife of Stanley Dietrich of Hamburg; Jane E. Sulouff of Granger, Indiana and his nephew Glenn R. Heckman, Sr. of Wyomissing.  Mr. Kissinger was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth J. Heckman.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Friday 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Mr. Kissinger was an Excalibur donator to the American Cancer Society and would like contributions made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017 in memory of Mr. John Thomas Kissinger.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
