John Kachel

John M. Kachel, 48, of Cumru Twp., passed away October 2, 2010 at 6:10 AM surrounded by love in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he was a patient since September 2nd. He was the husband of Judith L. "Judy" (Lyons) Kachel. Born in Reading on October 28, 1961, he was the son of Dolores M. "Dee" (Breitenstein) Kachel and the late Richard R. Kachel.

John was a 1979 graduate of Wilson High School and attended Emery Riddle Aeronautical University. He served in the US Navy during peacetime. He was employed as an IT Manager by Baldwin Hardware for 10 years and later by Morgan Corporation for 5 years last working August 26th. He will always be remembered by all as a loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a daughter Naomie M. Kachel of the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, a sister Michelle L. (Kachel) Reber of Temple and her children niece Dayna Reber and nephews Alex Reber and Benjamin Reber. He is also survived by several treasured nieces and nephews on Judy's side of the family.
