John P. Jaskolka, 73, of Spring Township died May 23, 2011 at ManorCare Sinking Spring. He is now enjoying eternal rest with his dearly missed departed family members and friends.
Born June 21, 1937, in Reading, he was the son of the late Francis and Regina (Ciemiewicz) Jaskolka
John attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic School, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for over 50 years in Berks County area as either a Chef, in Restaurant Management, or as an owner.
John was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Sinking Spring, and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8726.
John was a loving and dedicated father to his family. He was a very humble man, he always tried to do his very best in life, despite whatever obstacles he encountered, and encouraged his children to do the same. He loved cooking, helping others, dancing, listening to Polka Music, and landscaping or working on his home.
He is survived by five children: a son John Jeffrey, husband of Donna J. (Lebetz) of South Park Township; a son Robert F., husband of Chrissy (Keller) of Temple; a son Michael A; of Orlando, Florida; and daughters Geina L., Carissa L. both of Reading; John is also survived by a brother Frank and his family in Tennessee; and a sister Michele and her family of New Jersey. John was predeceased by an infant daughter Terry, and brothers Eugene and Thomas.
Other survivors include several very loving and special nieces, nephews, and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
Donations can be made in his memory to charities of the donor's choice.
