John Jackson

December 18, 1931 — September 29, 2017

John C. Jackson, 85, of Wyomissing, passed away on September 29, 2017 at his residence.
Born in Millville, NJ, he was the son of the late Clifton R. and Frieda M. (Ott) Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a US Navy Veteran, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Ursinus College, and went on to become the Vice President of Operations for the VF Corporation, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, where he also served as a licensed lay visitor. John enjoyed gardening, golf, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife: Carol Ann (Heck) Jackson; daughters: Vickie L. Swavely, wife of Michael of Pennside, Wendy L. Dunkelberger, wife of Merlin of Wernersville, Stacey L. Zubrzycki, wife of John of Mt. Laurel, NJ; sons: John Scott Jackson, partner of Karen Bettler of Wernersville, Mark R. Jackson, husband of Elaine of Sinking Spring, and Kris E. Jackson, fiancAC. of Jen Sargent of Mt. Penn. Other survivors include: Grandchildren: Erin, Matthew, Katie, Ashley, Matthew, Jessica, Cortney, William, Cooper, Loudon, Caleb; and great-grand-daughter: Vivian.
John was a devout Christian who served the Lord in many ways. His love of God as well as his love for his immediate family, his extended family and his friends made John the special person he was, who will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Evangelical Church, 139 Pennwyn Place, Shillington, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 9:30-11:00AM. The interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
