John C. "Jack" Gordon, 86, of Muhlenberg Twp, Passed away Jan. 27th, 2016.
He was the widower of Betty L. (Cessna) Gordon.
Jack was born in Hyndman, Bedford County on March 3, 1929 the son of John H. Gordon and Ethel C. (Beegle) Gordon.
Jack was a 1946 graduate of Bedford High School.
Jack and Betty were the founders of Dutch Maid Bakery in Temple and later the owner's of Gordon Auto Sales in Laureldale.
Jack was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Irvin, Melvin, Glenn, Ronald and a sister Elva (Gordon) Schmidt.
Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia A. (Gordon) Hiester of Queen Creek, AZ; a son, Steven J. Gordon, husband of Beth L. (Rodgers) Gordon of Fleetwood; four grandchildren: Scott A. Hiester Jr., Catherine E. (Hiester) Puma, wife of Anthony, Ashley N. (Gordon) McPherson, wife of Kevin, and Katia L. Gordon and a great grandson Levi H. McPherson
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes N. 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Reading, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday 9:00 until time of service.
