John G. Fetherman

John G. Fetherman, age 80, died May 12, 2024 in his Wernersville home surrounded by his daughters and pets (Chuck, Maverick, and Tyler).

John, the son of Colleen and Art Mosteller, grew up in Shawnee on Delaware, PA.

John (aka Pop Pop) is survived by his daughters Mindy Fetherman and Jodi (Tony) Wirebach; by his beloved grandchildren: Kylie Wirebach, Tabitha Wirebach, and Van Wirebach; and by his siblings Bill (Nancy) Mosteller and Mary (Mike) Horn.

He was preceded in death by Polly, his wife of 34 years. John was grateful to reconnect with his first love, Dianne Walsh, during his final years.

John is fondly remembered as Uncle John, as a friend and mentor, as a member of the Robesonia Monday night poker group, as part of the Sandy Cove camping gang, and by Shawnee friends from his childhood and from the years he lived in Stroudsburg after retirement.

John graduated from Delaware Valley College with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He worked for Allied Building Products for 30 years. He loved landscaping, feeding the birds, being a “news junkie,” Westerns, music, tea & cookies, antiques, model trains, fishing, and visiting Bermuda. In the last two years, he developed a passion for Phillies baseball.

A memorial service will be held in Shawnee at the convenience of the family. John will be buried next to Polly at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shawnee.

Gifts in memory of John are invited for Tunnel to Towers Foundation or to your favorite pet rescue or other nonprofit.
