John Paul Bilak, 81, of Reading, passed away June 11, 2011 at 5:00 am in Golden Living Center, Exeter Township. He was the husband of Phyllis A. (Keller) Bilak and was preceded in death by his first wife June Marie(Hartraft) Bilak, April 3, 2000. Born in Kenhorst he was the son of the late Paul John and Rose I. (Yergo) Bilak. He served in the Air National Guard. He was a barber at 5th & Penn Streets in Reading from 1958-1970. From 1970-1984 he was a barber at Ye Ole Barber Shop, 4th & Franklin Streets and from 1986-present he was a barber at Bilak's Barber Shop, 19th & Perkiomen Ave. He served as owner of Bilak's Maple Bar from 1984-1986. In addition to his wife Mr. Bilak is survived by his sons Steven V. husband of Sharon L. Bilak of Pennside and Michael C. husband of Diane Bilak of Kenosha, Wisconsin along with grandchildren Timothy S., Hannah N., Brandon M., Tommy and Joy. He is also survived by his sister Patricia A. Baer of Reading and his nephews Ryan and Craig Baer. He was preceded in death by his son Eric Scott Bilak.
