Joann A. Warner

Joann A. Warner, 82, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Monday June 26, 2023 at 3:00 pm at The Highlands at Wyomissing Skilled Nursing Unit.  She was the wife of the late Gary A. Warner who passed away April 1, 1995.  Born in Reading Mrs. Warner was the daughter of the late William E. and Alice E. (Betz) Carr.  She was a 1959 graduate of Reading High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University and later her master’s degree in education from Kutztown University.  Mrs. Warner was an elementary school teacher in the Reading School District for 36 years until her retirement.  She is survived by her step-children Kenneth Warner husband of Joan Warner of Clearwater, Florida and Cindy (Warner) English wife of Keith English of Montoursville, PA and her grandchildren Andrew and Aaron and his wife Rachel.  Mrs. Warner is also survived by her brother W. Jeffrey Carr husband of Peggy A. Carr of Wyomissing and her niece Steffany L. (Carr) Sheeler wife of Matthew Sheeler of Sinking Spring and sister-in-law Gail Warner Houck of Raleigh, NC  She was preceded in death by her sister Susan J. Carr.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington Saturday July 8, 2023 at 10:30 am. Reverend Dr. Brett Reider will officiate.   Interment will follow at Aulenbach’s Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
