Joan Slichter

Joan E. Slichter,70, of Brecknock Township passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital where she had been a patient for 2 days. Prior to that she was a patient at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center from Dec. 20 to Jan. 24th. She was the wife of Robert G. Slichter who passed away January 31, 2001. Born in Reading on December 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace (Noll) Zong. She was employed at Sharp Point, Inc. formerly in Sinking Spring for 10 years in the Packing Department. Mrs. Slichter is survived by son, Robert L. Slichter of Brecknock Township, 3 Daughters, Cheryl A. (Slitchter) Sauder of Brecknock Township, Tammy L. (Slichter) wife of Larry Gehman of Brecknock Township and Kim J. (Slichter) wife of Kenneth Zvoncheck of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by a brother, Clair Zong of Florida. There are 5 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
