Joan Marie Rinehart-Green

Joan Marie Rinehart-Green, of Shillington, PA, passed away Monday, May 15th at the age of 88.  Joan was the daughter of Lt. Col. And Mrs. Bernard Rinehart of Cairo, WV. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Warren L. Green, sister Clara (Rikki) Rinehart and brothers George and Michael Rinehart. 

Joan is survived by her stepsons Warren R. Green and Larry W. Green, 6 step grandchildren: Jessica, Ryan, Alex, Sara, Caroline & Elizabeth and four great grandsons. 

Joan graduated from University of Virginia (BSN), Catholic University (MSN), University of Maryland (PhD). She taught at Reading Hospital School of Nursing, Catholic University, West Virginia University, Penn State, Widener University and Gwynedd Mercy College. Joan edited and published The Carriage Drivers by her late husband Warren L. Green. She was active in the Berks County Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30am-11:00am. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
