Joan Hock

Joan S. Hock, 79, of Reading, passed away November 10, 2009 at 1:15 PM in Mifflin Center where she resided for 3 months. She was the loving wife of Herman H. Hock for 60 years. Born in Reading on November 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Impink) Sockel.

Mrs. Hock was a 1948 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Joan was employed by Camp Hosiery / Genesco for 31 years retiring in 1990 as a supervisor.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Diane L. (Hock) wife of J. Robert Sauppee III of Blandon and a son Gregory J. Hock of Reading, 3 grandchildren Michelle A. Roulias, Stephanie L. Roulias & Jennifer A. Werner, 2 great grandchildren Corey and Laney Werner and a brother Joseph Sockel of Reading.
