Joan Dempsey

Joan C. Dempsey, 76, of Spring Township, passed away April 12, 2009 at 3:03 pm in her residence of natural causes. She was the wife of the late Edward N. Dempsey who passed away May 8, 1999. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Helen (Eismann) Kewitz. Mrs. Dempsey was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, was an accpmplished local artist, enjoyed gardening and traveling with her family and friends. She was a Loving Mother to Christopher L. husband of Martha Dempsey of San Diego, CA, Stephen E. husband of Karen Dempsey of Exeter Township, Thomas M. husband of Linda Luttrell of Brevard, NC. She was a Loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother to nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by a sister Penny Mentch of Hendersonville, NC and a brother Michael Kewitz of Chicago.
