Joan Darcourt

Joan L. Darcourt, 82, of Shillington, passed away on July 12, 2016 at Manor Care Sinking Spring.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Grube) Latchford.
Mrs. Darcourt was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School. She went on to work for CNA Insurance as a Rater, a title she held for 24 years. Joan enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, trips to casinos, camping, and fishing.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter: Jill L. Gauby
She is survived by her husband: Ernest L. Darcourt, Daughters: Michele E. Gauby, wife of Jan of Leesport, and Phyllis D. Smith, wife of Edward of Sinking Spring. Grandchildren: Danielle A. Moyer, wife of Kyle S. Moyer of West Lawn, Bryan E. Smith of Sinking Spring, Jessica L. Frank of Muhlenberg Twp., and Jeffery L. Gauby of West Lawn. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10-11:00AM.
