Jessi Hess

Jessi was a loving and compassionate person who touched the heart of everyone she met. She had a great sense of humor, and was always quick with a smile. She enjoyed music, a good book, People's court, and Betty Boop. Jessi was born with Cystic Fibrosis, and her struggle was life long and hard fought. Her determination to live her life on her terms was truly inspirational to all of those around her. She was an absolutely amazing woman, and full of life and vitality all the way to the end. She lost her fight while waiting for a lung transplant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Knowing that her time on this earth was short, she made the courageous decision to donate her organs so that others may live.
She was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister; and is survived by her only son Ian S., 7; her husband Allen; her maternal grandmother Kathleen Ustaszewski, wife of John, of Muhlenberg; her mother Tara Kramer, s'mom Mary Bennett of Denver, and father Harold Heckman of Sinking Spring. She also had 3 siblings who love and miss her: Patience Lord, partner of David Kilakis, Reinholds , Victoria Heckman, Sinking Spring, and Jeffrey Heckman, partner of Connie Lubish, Reading. Her aunts Jennifer Bair, wife of Thomas, and Kerry Seiders, and her uncle Shane Kramer, husband of Robi, will also miss her smile and wit. She also has 2 stepbrothers: Kam and Kolton Mueller and 2 half brothers: Todd and Troy Heckman.
Jessi was also very involved with her nieces and nephews. They will miss the sleep-overs, knitting lessons, and trips to the beach.
Words cannot describe the courage and grace that Jessi possessed, in life and in death. She was the most remarkable and amazing woman and is greatly missed by her family and friends.
