Jerome Wojton

Jerome W. "Jerry" Wojton, 51, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center- Wyoming Valley Campus.

Born in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Donald A. and Patricia A. (Rattigan) Wojton of Wyomissing. He was the husband of Karen L. (Hart) Wojton. The couple shared 30 wonderful years of marriage.

He was a 1976 graduate of Wilson High School, and in 1980 received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University.

He loved sports, and played football through high school and college as a lineman. He enjoyed golf, and poker with his friends. He also participated in Fantasy Sports Leagues.

He worked as a production manager for Wyomssing Corporation for 20 years. He was one of the original founders of the Reading Rage indoor soccer team.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a daughter: Nicole M. (Wojton), wife of Dan Lavia of Reading; and a son: Daniel A. Wojton, fiance of Jandi Pulford of Sinking Spring.

There is also a granddaughter: Audrey; a sister: Theresa (Wojton) Szabo of California; and nieces and nephews: Ryan & Steven Szabo, Amanda Woods, and Ryan & Michael Kelly.
