Jeanne Miller

October 30, 1922 — February 28, 2009

Jeanne E. Miller, 86, of Wyomissing, passed away February 28, 2009 in the Reading Hospital. She was married to Richard W. Miller for 49 years. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Rosa E. (Herb) Deibert. Mrs. Miller was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and a 1944 graduate of Kutztown State Teacher;s College where she was president of her class. She taught first grade for 40 years mostly at Fifth and Spring Elementary School. She was an active member of the Reading Berks Historical Society and a docent at the Reading Public Museum. She volunteered at the Reading Hospital and the Women's Exchange. She was a member of the Golden Rule Chapter 390, Order of Eastern Star, the Reading Symphony Orchestra League and the American Association of University Women. She is survived by a nephew Glenn A. Deibert of Wallingford and nieces Patricia E. wife of David G. Payne of Bonita Springs, Florida and M. Melanie Deibert of Sinking Spring. Other survivors include eight great nephews and nieces and ten great great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a niece Carol A. Creamer.
