Jean Rehr

Jean Margaret (Rickenbach) Rehr, 86 of Womelsdorf, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 4:45 pm in Reading Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on November 7, 1929 in Shillington Pa, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Rickenbach and Lillian M. (Johnson) Rickenbach.
Jean was the wife of William H. Rehr who passed away November 14, 1991. She was also deceased by her daughter Joanne (Borrell) Missimer January 9, 1991. Jean was employed by the former Western Electric and Faust CafAC. in Reading, retiring from the Reading Parking Authority.
She enjoyed being able to still drive her car and get to flee markets and auctions. She loved her dogs and was the best sitter to her grand-dogs, Snuggles and Buddy, and will be greatly missed by them. Jean had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care of her plants. She liked to keep herself busy in her younger years by updating her home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving brother Edwin C. Rickenbach, husband of Alice Rickenbach in Enola, Pa.
She is also survived by her children: Eileen (Borrell) Boettlin of Ohio, Janis (Borrell) Patti of Reading, Barbara Reitz wife of Robert Reitz Jr. of Fleetwood, David Borrell of Hamburg, Brenda Borrell of Wernersville, and Paula Reitz wife of Rodney Reitz of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1-2:00PM. The interment will follow at Alsace Cemetery.
