Jean Kooken

Jean Darlene Kooken, 80, formerly of Franklin, Maryland, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11:59 pm in the residence of her son Charles R. Kooken, Jr., Exeter Township, Pennsylvania.  She was the wife of the late Charles R. Kooken, Sr. who passed away in 1991.  Born in Westernport, Maryland, Mrs. Kooken was the daughter of the late Paul Pressly O’Neil and Ruth Leona (Dawson) O’Neil.  She is survived by her sons Charles R. Kooken, Jr., husband of Rebecca A. Kooken with whom she last resided; David Bryan Kooken of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters April Gerhart, Sarah Cox, wife of Neil Cox; six great grandchildren Aiden, Landon, Addison, Aubrey, Olivia, and Logan.  She will also be missed by her dearest friend Sandy Riley of Cresaptown, MD.

Interment will be held privately at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, Maryland.
