Janice M. Reber, 92, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 8:45 am in Berkshire Commons, Exeter Township, where she resided for 5 ½ years. She was the wife of the late William L. Reber who passed away in 1990. Born in Reading, Mrs. Reber was the daughter of the late William F. Pflum, Sr. and Rozilla E. (Gettel) Pflum. She was a life member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday School for decades. Mrs. Reber was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School and was a typist for American Casualty in Reading. She also volunteered for many years as a dispatcher for the Exeter Twp. Ambulance Assoc. She is survived by her children David W. Reber of Mount Penn; Susan M. Jackson, wife of the late Gary M. Jackson of Exeter Township; Karen L. Carrozza, wife of Jacob A. Carrozza of Exeter Township; Beverly J. Smith, wife of Forrest R. Smith, III of Temple and preceded in death by her daughters Linda A. Schneck and Diane L. Reber. Mrs. Reber is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Fregede; Kristen Thiele; Sarah Shultz; Dylan Smith; Caitlin Smith; Kelsey Jackson; Derrick Jackson and her 4 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by her grandson Nathan Schneck. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary “Polly” Pflum, wife of the late William F. Pflum, Jr. of Shillington and her former son-in-law Duane Schneck of Muhlenberg. The family of Mrs. Reber would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Berkshire Commons for their kindness and care they provided for their mother the past 5 ½ years.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, Ill 60601 in memory of Mrs. Janice M. Reber.
