Janet Smith

Janet Anderson Smith, 89, formerly of South Heidelberg Township, Jamestown, New York, Wynnewood, Pennsylvania and Springfield, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at 12:06 am in Amity Place, Douglassville. She was the wife of the late Frederick W. Smith who passed away in 1998. Born in Jamestown, New York, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Aaron A. and Esther (Lindquist) Anderson. She was a secretary at Art Metal Construction Company and a medical secretary at Thomas Jefferson Hospital for 10 years and a medical secretary at Lankenau Hospital for 23 years. Mrs. Smith volunteered at libraries and Spring Ridge Surgicenter. She is survived by her step sons David W. Smith of Phoenixville; Richard Smith of Norristown and John G. Smith, husband of Diane M. Smith of Fleetwood and her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend Regina Condos of Robesonia.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements.
