Janet Iaeger

Janet L. Iaeger, 96, went to be with the Lord on March 24th. Janet was born to the late Carlton R. Williamson and the late Esther (Haas) Williamson on September 17, 1921 in Reading, PA. She graduated from Reading High School in 1938. She attended Kutztown State Teachers' College and the McCann School of Business. On October 19, 1946 she married Rober W. Iaeger to whom she remained married until his passing on June 8, 1999. They had one son, Thomas R. Iaeger, her only immediate-family survivor. Janet began working as a volunteer at the Sinking Spring Elementary School Library and later accepted a position as Secretary in the Sinking Spring Elementary School, where she worked until her retirement after twenty years of service. Janet was a member of the Woman's Club of West Lawn, and she played golf into her nineties as a member of the Village Green Ladies' Golf League. She was a member of Windsor Street Methodist Church and attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God for many years later in her life. Janet lived most of her life in Sinking Spring. She was a resident of Berks Heim at the time of her death. Janet loved animals, so donations in her honor may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County.
