Janet L. Blimline

Janet L. Blimline, 82, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late J. Kenneth Blimline who passed away April 12, 2020 and to whom she shared 58 wonderful years together in marriage. Born in Reading, Janet was the daughter of the late Warren and Mildred (Kohl) Brendle. She was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and was a member of Wyomissing United Church of Christ in Gouglersville, where she served in various positions including Sunday School Teacher, Secretary, Treasurer, Treasurer of United Fellowship, and Consistory. Janet was a life member of Gouglersville Fire Company and served on the Board of Directors for many years. She worked as a secretary and then publication production manager for Beaumont, Heller & Sperling, Inc. for 40 years retiring in 1999. Janet is survived by her sister Lauren K. (Brendle) Lorah of Reinholds, nephew Dustin Lorah of Ocean City, Maryland; niece Stefanie Whitman of Coatesville; great niece Avery Lorah of Ocean City, Maryland; great nephews Steven Whitman of Lancaster and Mitchell Wood of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are two nieces that were the closest thing to daughters that Janet ever had: Diane Rissler wife of Kevin Rissler of New Holland and Donna Hirneisen wife of John Hirneisen of Adamstown. Janet was preceded in death by her sister Sandra (Brendle) Weitzel; half-sister Carolyn (Koenig) Wischuck; nieces Brandy Lorah and Debbie (Koenig) Wood.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, September 9, 2024 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wyomissing United Church of Christ 2 Vermont Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 in memory of Janet.
