O’MALLEY, JANE MARIE (nee Thomas) – born July 14, 1948, Jane passed from her home on August 19, 2022, following a long and courageous battle with Breast Cancer. “Mimi” was the matriarch of her Irish family, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents William J. Thomas, Sr. and Margaret Rose (nee Bruton) Thomas, sisters Margaret R. McLaughlin and Mary E. Pike, and her daughter Jane Marie Harakal (Matthew). Surviving is her husband of 50 years, James W. O’Malley, Jr., son James W. O’Malley III (Jeanmarie) of Maple Glen, PA, daughter Patricia M. Powers (John) of Douglassville, PA, daughter Megan K. Moyer (Scott), of Green Lane, PA, son-in-law Matthew D. Harakal (Dawn) of Mertztown, PA, and son Thomas J. O’Malley (Danielle) of Prospect Park, PA.
Jane was Born and raised in DELCO, she was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School for Girls in 1966. Meeting the love of her life down the shore in North Wildwood, they raised their family in Norwood, PA. She will always be fondly remembered for her sarcasm, wit, loyalty, and love for all who had the pleasure to know her.
Family and friends are welcome to a visitation at Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606 on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 9:15 am to 10:15 am. A mass to follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be private at a later date.
