Jane L. Brickel

Jane L. Brickel, 80, of Shillington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack A. Brickel, who passed away on September 3, 2016. They were married on October 10, 1970. 

Born on February 12, 1944, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Strohm and Dorothy E. (Schell) Boyer. During her life, she worked at JC Ehrlich Company in Wyomissing as a Secretary for over 40 years, until retirement. Jane was an active member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington. She loved going on trips and was a collector and lover of her bears. Jane was an avid crossword and puzzle person. 

Jane was predeceased by her husband Jack A. Brickel and son Jack A. Brickel Jr., who passed away on February 17, 1999. 

She is survived by her granddaughter Miranda N. Angel, of Statesville, NC; and great grandson, Caleb King, of NC. 

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00am. Rev. Megan Huesgen will officiate.
