James Stiefel

James P. Stiefel  Sr., 92, of Kenhorst, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Topton Lutheran Home. James was the loving husband to Dorothy V.(Debiec) for over 74 years. Born in Reading, James served in the U.S. Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Leyte aircraft carrier, later becoming the owner of Stiefel Remodeling. James loved to travel and tend to his garden, he enjoyed bird watching, and woodworking, as well as loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Dorothy, James is survived by his children, Jeffrey Stiefel, husband of Cynthia, of Reading, James Stiefel Jr., husband of Nancy, of Blue Bell, Kathy Payne, wife of Charlie, of Allenwood, NJ, and Jane O’Neil, wife of Ken, of Nottingham, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeffrey Stiefel, husband of Cheryl, Lesley Stiefel, partner of Kevin Britton, Matthew Stiefel, partner of Alaina Dimmig, Brendon Stiefel, Douglas McClave, partner of Sharon, Matthew McClave, husband of Jen, Jessica Fisher, and Megan Fisher.

James is predeceased by his 9 siblings.
