James R. "Jim" Mull, 66, passed away April 14, 2019 in his Spring Township home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Reading, Jim was the son of the late Richard J. and Dolores G. (Strause) Mull. He was happily married to his wife Michele (Fitzgerald) for 45 years.
Following his 1970 graduation from Reading High School, Jim worked for American Polarizers until 1979. He then worked for Reading Pretzel until 1985, and eventually retired as Service Supervisor from UGI Utilities, Inc. after 30 years of service with the company.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Jim enjoyed the outdoors and traveling with Michele and his family.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Heil, wife of Marc, South Heidlerberg Township; and Kristen Zary, Sinking Spring. Jim will also be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Garrett and Austin Zary; and Lauren, Benjamin and Daniel Heil. He is also survived by his siblings John Mull, husband of Monica; Deborah Kurtz, wife of Steven; Elizabeth Lischak; Michael Mull; and Steven Mull, Sr., husband of Margie; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Barbara Mull and Cynthia Mull.
Jim's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Terrence Cescon, Dr. Colin Murphy and the outstanding, compassionate team at the McGlinn Family Regional Cancer Center at Reading Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:00 am. Reverend Paul L. Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Monday 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
