Jack Diem, Sr

Jack Harold Diem Sr., 80, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Thursday, December 22, 2016.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Nancy C. (Kramer), he is survived by his sons Jackie H. Diem Jr., husband of Tammy L. (Kemp), and Scott M. Diem, companion of Judy Stump.
He had two grandchildren, Noel C. Diem and Jackie H. Diem III, and a step granddaughter, Candace M. Ziegler.
Born in Reading on August 18, 1936, he was the son of Harold and Mary (Kissling) Diem. He's also survived by his brother, Richard D. Diem, of Wyomissing.
A graduate of Reading High School in 1954, Jack worked at Carpenter Technology for 36.5 years, retiring as General Foreman.
He was a member of St. Mark's UCC in Reading, Masonic Lodge #62, and the Rajah Shrine. He also served in the Air Force Reserves.
Jack was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the St. Louis Cardinals. In his early years, Jack had many fond memories of living in Glenside and vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 am. Masonic Service will be conducted by Lodge #62 F&AM at 10:45 am.
