Jack Brickel

Jack A. Brickel, 83, of Cumru Township, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 5:35 am in Mifflin Center. He was the husband of Jane L. (Strohm) Brickel. Born in Reading, Mr. Brickel was the son of the late Carl P. and Helen D. (Stoudt) Brickel. He served in the United States Army as a Corporal in the Korean War and was a bus driver for Reading Bus Company and then a custodian for the Reading School District. Mr. Brickel was preceded in death by his son Jack A. Brickel, Jr. who passed away February 17, 1999. He is survived by his granddaughter Miranda Angel, wife of Brad Angel of Statesville, North Carolina; great grandson Caleb, and 3 additional grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Brickel was also preceded in death by his brother Carl P. Brickel, Jr.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. Reverend Dale Davis, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 10-11:00 am.
