Jacalyn I. Hahm "Jackie/Jake", 74, of Muhlenberg Township, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her home with her husband by her side. She was the cherished wife of Michael E. Hahm, with whom she shared 33 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created lasting memories through their travels, visits to casinos, and their unique, Leap Day-inspired anniversary celebrations.
Born on April 8, 1951, in Easton, PA, Jackie was the daughter of the late Howard Martin and Mary (Wasser). She graduated from Easton High School in 1969, and her childhood, spent with her four sisters in an old fort along the Delaware River, instilled in her an appreciation for simple living. Jackie’s career was diverse, spending most of her time at American National Can.
Jackie’s zest for life was evident in everything she did. She was a passionate planner, always organizing road trips and adventures for her family. A lover of animals, she spent her final months joyfully playing fetch with her beloved puppy, Buddy. Her creativity knew no bounds—whether sewing, crocheting, crafting, cooking, or baking, Jackie’s hands were always busy. Her award-winning baked goods were a testament to her talent and her love for bringing joy to others.
Her greatest joy, however, came from being with her family and pets. As a mother, Jackie worked hard to provide opportunities for her daughter, Jodi, and was deeply involved in every aspect of her life. Jackie’s heart swelled with love for her grandsons, Vincenzo J. Magazzu and Pasquale B. Magazzu, and she delighted in spending time with them.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Michael E. Hahm, of Muhlenberg Township; daughter, Jodi M. Magazzu; grandsons, Vincenzo J. and Pasquale B. Magazzu; her four sisters, Barbara Romig, Mary Hardy, Nancy Barto, and Christine Russo; as well as her former husband, Thomas Kalnas, of Allentown.
A Memorial Service in honor of Jackie will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1605 Rockland Street, Reading, PA 19604, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Amy S.
