Irene Regis Tringl, 92, passed away March 23, 2017 in Freehold, New Jersey. Born to Italian immigrants Louis and Josephine Regis in the small town of Rimersburg, PA, "Reenie" grew up surrounded by a large extended family including 20 cousins, and graduated valedictorian from Rimersburg-Madison Joint High School in 1942. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings Evalyn Jacks and Louis Regis, Jr. Irene was known for her bright smile and warm, helpful nature. She loved dancing. A long-time resident of Wayne, PA, Irene worked at the Suburban and Wayne Times for 32 years in the composing room. In her retirement, she moved to Douglassville, PA. She remained active and healthy until disabled by strokes at age 86, but always kept her pleasant disposition and love of family. Irene was formerly married to Karl L. Tringl, and is survived by him and their 3 adult children: Barbara Dougher (& husband Jack) of Farmingdale, NJ; Henry Tringl of Beaverton, OR; and Annette Proulx (& husband Steve) of Douglassville, PA. She is also survived by grandsons Kyle and Dylan Dougher; and niece Bonnie Jacks Labriola.
